The White Stuff

There'll be much rejoicing in Brinkster Central when the little Brinksters see this morning's snowfall! The weather radar suggests that's all the snow we're likely to see today so make the most of it.

Haha. Three weeks off school and it snows the day they all go back. Life is so unfair. ;-)

Not quite. It's been an INSET day at a lot of schools in Sutton (i.e. where the teachers go in for training but kids don't) so they kids had a chance to frolic if the urge took them.

It would have been TOO cruel otherwise ;)

Ah, one of those INSET days when the teachers do the training that they couldn't bring themeselves to interrupt their 13 weeks of holiday for.....

The holidays are spent marking and planning lessons mainly. If people like the holidays so much why don't they all become teachers as well? Because its a bloody hard and skilled job and the holidays are one of the few perks. Love the blog but don't attack the teachers. Stick to the Estate agents.

Mrs Brinkster used to be a teacher in a less in one of the more central London Boroughs before there were little Brinksters so I have a certain familiarity with the ins and outs of the teaching profession. You're right about it being hard... I wouldn't do it...

(Doesn't stop me taking the mick though... husband's privilege)
